Today is a special day! It is special because it is February 29th.
This is a day that only happens every 4 years!
We worked out that we will all be 9 or 10 years old before another leap year happens.
Check out the video to learn more about the Leap Year!

K4S: We are persisting!
This week we are focusing on persisting!
This means that we try and try and KEEP trying until we can do things.
Persisting is a really important tool to have in your Learning Toolbox!
We watched this video of Ormie the Pig - he is so good at persisting, he just keeps trying.
Click the below video to see Ormie, it is funny!

Our Room 5
This afternoon we spent a bit of time discussing as a class what was important to us in Room 5.
We wrote a big list of lots of words, these were about how we thought people should behave in our class and what was important to us as members of Room 5. We then chose 3 of the words that were the most important to all of us.
Take a look at our Wordle below to see what we decided on.
You can see that learning was REALLY important to us - we can learn at school and we can learn at home!
We also thought that using our K4S was really important - these are our Keys for Success and are all about:

Graphing with TINS!
Today was mufti day and we each bought in a can/tin of spaghetti, baked beans or tinned fruit to support our Breakfast Club.
Since we are also learning about Statistics and graphing, we used the cans to make some bar graphs. We used our keywords of most, least and same to talk about our findings.
Check out the pictures of us learning!
